will once again host the DCA National Specialty.

If you are unable to get a room at the Holiday Inn host hotel, additional rooms have been

blocked for the Dachshund Club of America October 18-24, 2009 at the Comfort Inn, 7300

Executive Way, Fredrick ,MD 21704. Their phone number is 301-668-7272. The Comfort

Inn is 1.5 miles from the host hotel, approximately a 5 minute drive. The building has an

elevator and offers a complimentary deluxe continental breakfast. The same provisions will

apply for dogs as for the host hotel: 6 dogs MAXIMUM per room, a one time $25.00 non-

There are three airports near Washington, D.C. all approximately 50-55 miles from the hotel:

Dulles International Airport ( IAD ), Baltimore-Washington International Airport ( BWI ), and

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport ( DCA ). People who find that they must use

National Airport should avoid arriving or departing between the hours of 6-9 am or 3-6:30 pm

Mon.-Fri. because of severe traffic delays. Those utilizing Dulles (IAD) will be least affected

Information regarding transportation reservations and costs from all 3 airports to the hotel

via taxi or shuttle will be posted here and in the premium list closer to the event date.
